No, I'm willing to bet either the phaser is out of power/set on stun, or Ensign Sue is simply immune to it. My wager is on immunity, personally.

It's strange, but this page right here sort of justifies a Mary Sue Character. Think about it, if the universe bent around your will, wouldn't you become a perfect person, without flaws and having every skill? I know I would. It sorta makes me want to create a character justified in a similar manner.

Not really, since bending the universe to a character's will actually creatures the Mary-Sue. It doesn't justify it, it's just another qualifier for a 'Sue character.

It's the reason GMs can't have characters in roleplays; they are the universe, thus they may alter it as they please, thus any character they would own has the same skill, thus their character can alter their universe, thus their character is unbeatable, ergo the character is a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stue
