Sally Catlin
Technicolor Beatnick
Staff writer and Inker Sally delights in the use of rare and expensive floss. She has a collection of dental-strings that spans both continents and centuries. Her most prized piece of 'corde dentistal' comes from the late Etruscan Imperial epoch and was used to remove fig pits from the teeth of high ranking census-takers. Sally claims to feel the hot winds of the desert across her brow when she uses it once a year during her special floss ceremony.

Sally follows a strict daily biblio-transitive regime, designed to elevate her from human form to that of a well-bound Roget's Thesaurus (eighth edition). She takes great care with her spine, and avoids the damp as it will only wrinkle her pages. She has consulted countless physicians for the best way to determine her dewey decimal number. To date she has saved over $478 towards gettting herself professionally published.

Her family has been very supportive of Sally's alternative lifestyle. Her mother claims to have seen it coming years ago, when at the age of three, she refused to sleep anywhere but between the "R" and "T" volumes of the family encyclopedia. When she can be coaxed off the shelf, Sally writes, inks, promotes, and proof-reads the strips here at Interrobang Studios.
